Hi -
Does anyone know what 'gegen Rechnung' means? Farthest I can get is against bill/calculation...which I know can't be right.
I ordered something online, but accidentally hit the 'Vorkasse' payment method and they put the order through immediately. The confirmation said the items would be shipped by DHL 'gegen Rechnung'. Is this C.O.D? Anyone know what methods of payment I can use? Do I give the delivery person cash or credit card? Or do I need to go the whole routing number+ way?
Thanks!

It means they will deliver the goods and an invoice will be either enclosed or sent shortly afterwards. You must then transfer this amount to them. They will not be looking for COD.

Does anyone know what 'gegen Rechnung' means?
Something like 'Upon receipt' perhaps?

Corcaigh got it, it just means he will receive an invoice.

Yep, corcaigh got it right as Corkmen always do in matters financial.
It means "on account" and can be a dangerous thing in certain parts of Westmeath.
