Hi,

I am planning to make a trip to Poland either next week or week after that for couple of days. Would anyone be intrested to do this trip? Planning to take a train and stay in one of the cheap places - 50 Euros a night. Do some sight seeing and get back to Belrin.

i'd like to visit Warsaw too, but since I am in munich I would have to fly there... any chance you will go the week of 18 - 22 july? (found good prices for flights on these days).

on a side note, i'll be visiting berlin / dresden the week of 9 - 15 july.

I am probably heading back to states that weekend. Send me a message when you get to Berlin and if you would like to do some sight seeing.

Hi Katana,
I am in Berlin and would be interested in going with you to Warsaw anytime after 29th.
I have been to Cracow, and Poland is so cheap, so you could probably get away with a lot less than €50 for accommodation.
Let me know if you are still interested...

Hi Anna,

I was planning to go next week and I am in Tel Aviv this week. I will be in Berlin Friday morning and I was planning to take the train on Tuesday and return on Friday. I looked at some train tickets and it was around 110 dollars. Let me know if you would be intrested and we can book the tickets.

Let me know and we will decide.

just to warn you guys a couple friends of mine went to poland when they came to visit me, they had checked prices before they came and it looked to be around 110 euro, but when they bought the tickets it turned into a little over 200.. mind you they went to Krakau.

You guys do know that you can hitch rides in cars there for much cheaper? Car sharing with Mitfahrgelegenheit and with Mitfahrzentrale. You can also post plaintive "can you take me to" requests. I have friends who swear by these, although I have not tried them yet myself. But soon!

Hi There,
Look at this link:

Maybe we should check rideshares again before next week?
In my experience wit poland, its also a lot cheaper, if you want to get the train, to catch a train to the polish border, and then buy tickets to get to warsaw from there.
let me know smile.gif

if you're travelling on a saturday you can get the weekend pass for the train that lets up to 5 people travel for something like €25. you can buy an extention on that ticket for the rest of the journey. I did that once with a friend from munich to prague, but that was before I found the mitfahr sites. I've done a few of the ride shares now and really enjoy it and it's sooo much cheaper.
