Hi everybody,

I am moving to Hamburg and will have a one year old baby girl with me. I'll have to attend university classes at the University of Hamburg, during which time I need good nursery/day care facilities for my baby. My scholarship is very limited and I don't know how to manage. Further, I have no idea about Hamburg, nor any friends or relations there. So I'm feeling helpless. Please tell me if you know about anything that would be of my help. Also tell me how good these centres are in taking care of babies as I need to stop worrying. Desperately looking for loads of replies.

Thanks in advance.

Hello
I am moving to Hamburg on september, I have a 2 1/2year old and I am not working at the moment only looking after her and the house. It will be nice to have another little one to play with mine. I am thinking in becoming a childminder perhaps later but for now it will be nice to meet you and see how it goes.

Hello,

Have you two met up? I've just moved here October and also have a 2 year old and a grey flat to look after. Anyóne fancy meeting up for a swim with the little ones? I need to nip to the tourist office to get the address but I understand there is a big swimming complex here.

Hello,
I´m not sure if I´m too late to be replying to these messages, unfortunately I only just noticed the thread!
I am a 24-year old Australian girl who has just come to live in Hamburg. Prior to coming here I was working as an Au Pair in Dublin and as a Child Care Centre worker back in Australia. I have been looking for more au pair work here in Hamburg but have not found anything suitable yet. I have a weekend job but would like to find something to do during the weekdays.
I can offer my services in some sort of arrangement to all 3 of you, if you haven´t found an alternative yet. I could meet at someone´s place and mind all the kids together; that way you will be sharing the cost of a childminder and both yourselves and your kids can meet other families.
Let me know what you think, I´d love to help and find myself this kind of work too!
I can be contacted via email: mickeyw_2000@hotmail.com

Looking forward to hearing from you all!
