Hi,
I'll be in Germany for about two more months and I'd really like to get a gym membership for the remaining time I'm here. I've checked the guides and posts on this site but most
gms here seem to be quite expensive and/or require long-term contracts.
Any suggestions? I was considering McFit, but nobody has discussed them on here in about two years so that leaves me wondering.
Thanks!

I think Fitness Schwabing, Winzererstraße 47 b, 80797 Munich, Tel: 089 3083 516 is a good choice if you are looking for a cheap gym in Schwabing. I have not been around that way for so long it might not be there anymore though...

Thanks LeChamois, I'll check it out.
Anyone else have any suggestions, in case this place has disappeared?

you can workout at my gym. it's pretty ghetto though, but will suit your needs well.
body factory.
they have a special now... buy any package (1, 3, 6, 9, 12 months) and get 3 free. 90EUR sign up fee though. And I think if you do 1 month, it's 90EUR for that month.
you might just wanna do a drop in free each time you go... that might serve you better.

p.s there's a gym thread kicking around here. Lots of suggestions in there.
Fitness Factory
McFit
Munich Gym
mine's the lower on the list in terms of quality and anything else. no towel service, the equipment is archaic, I rarely see anybody cleaning any of the equipment, the lockrooms are filthy (this weird slime in the showers), the dummbells only go up to 85 lbs and they're pretty fucking ghetto, etc.
I'm only there for a few months, but after that I'm sucking up the fee and going to the Fitness Factory. Towel service, CLEAN, free fruit, your fee includes all classes, CLEAN, etc. I can't stress enough how important working out somewhere clean is. I always feel icky after walking outof my gym.
