Well my setup has been working super duper for about 12 months. Then the Telekom line went down, and we lost the connection for 24 hours. We battled for an hour or two first assuming the issue was at our end but I dont think I changed any settings on my laptop.
Now if I connect I lose the connection after a few minutes. Only security I had enabled was MAC filtering. Even with ALL security off it still drops the connection. There is no password etc.
I am confused now as to whether this is a problem with the Speedport or infamous Windows XP problem. I "think" Windows XP did one of their dreaded auto-updates in my machine as well recently, so wondering if I should rollback to fix the problem.
Needless to say this seems to be just one of dozens of tekkie problems I seem to be currently plagued with. I will be volunteering for the next season of "Stein Zeit" on TV I think.

Are you loosing the wireless connection? or the complete DSL connection??
Have a look in the logs files on the speedport, and if your feeling brave post them here

If its the DSL connection then first off call Telekom and ask for a line reset.
Maybe somone can help me on this one.
I set up a WLAN for some friends about a week ago and everything went fine, until 3 days ago when they called me and said that they couldn't get into the internet anymore. I went over to have a look and everything was still connected as it should be, I reckoned that it wasn't a telekom issue as I only live about 30m away and I'm having no problems. Windows tells me that it's connected to the speedport (I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting), I've disabled the firewall, done a reset on the speedport and set up the internet connection agaiin without any security options, checked the browser settings, but nothing seems to work. The thing that bugs me is, although I'm being told that I'm connected I can't even access the speedport configuration wireless.
Am I overseeing something?
Edit: I didn't forget to enable WLAN on the speedport either.

Mine was fine for about a year. Then I added my roommate's XP laptop. I have a mac and never had any problems with it. But, once we added his, I get this strange deal where the wireless turns off, and is back on about 3-4 minutes later. Sometimes it won't happen for weeks, then it goes about a week where it does it every 5 minutes.
I know there's nothing wrong with the mac, and I have gone through every possible place on the windows computer and everything there seems to check out fine too.
I'm starting to think there is a problem with the modem, but that really seems odd as it just suddenly started.
