I'm thankful for the folks on TT who have chosen to try to bash me, as you have helped me to become more compassionate.
I'm also thankful to the folks on TT who have supported me and thought my rhetoric was a little bit more than the bullshit that it really is.

I'd like to thank Grinner for putting up my dish so I don't have to watch crap German telly, apart from Wetten Dass...? but only when the Hollywood stars are on, cos when the German telly stars are on I go fetch more beer.
I'd like to thank certain TTers (they know who they are) for scrutinizing (The Central Scrutinizer!) every single word I write and picking me up if I forget to say thank you on one particular bloody occasion.
I'd like to thank my lawn for growing so fast that I have to cut it every week. I'd also like to thank the tomatoes for putting on such a good show.
But seriously I'd like to thank TT for mostly being a hugely entertaining medium as it is. Never dull, friendly and sometimes sometimes up izts own arse but still not a bad lot.
Right sod it I am off to cut the grass again then sunbathe.

I want to say thank you to:
-Bluedave for originating a thread to help me find a kitten.
-kitkat64 for finding a kitten.
-Ruthie for watching the kitten til she can come move into my apartment.
-EVERYONE who suggested names for the new baby kitten. There were some cute ones, funny ones that made me laugh, ones that I knew I was never going to pick... but THANK YOU!
And thanks TT for being entertaining and giving me something to read during my day. And everyone on TT that is super nice.

I just want to thank that Slovakian bitch who lied to me, cheated on me and stole money from me (to give to her real boyfriend for his coke addiction)!!!
Without that wakeup experience, I'd still be stuck in a hole with you while you slowly sucked my life (and money) away!!

Regarding my recent move:
Thank you to Meat and Potatoes for showing up and painting with a temperature of 100°F.
Thank you to Tiggi for showing up and cleaning and prepping door frames for painting after only three hours sleep and a long night.
Thank you to Mik Dickenson for all the trade tips and for coming to my rescue at 9am on a Sunday morning. I have lost my fear of (but not my respect for) light sockets and lamp fixtures.
Thank you for the moral support from so many sides.
Thank you to mr_k (aka Benchmark) for picking up my kitchen on 36 hours notice.
Thank you to SpiderPig for sending me mr_k's contact details when frigging Telekom couldn't connect me on 10 days notice.
P.S. If you have to prep doors etc. for painting, use NOPI tape, not Tesa. Much easier to handle and to remove from the frames, not to mention half the price. Tastes just as bad, though.

Thank you to Mik Dickenson for the help he has given at our childcare center doing that list of odd jobs that always grows longer and longer and never gets taken care of. Mik came in and gave me a full day's work for FREE, and we worked our butts off and the place looks ship shape now and ready for our new batch of kiddies in September.
Plus, he taught me a lot as he worked so next time we won't need to let the list get as long because now I know how to do some of the stuff myself. Double bonus!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I have had some pretty rough times lately, having to sell my car and all of my furniture just after having arrived here, becuase my Company decided to re-locate me with no advance warning.
I have found almost all of the help to deal with this situation through TT (people who have bought my stuff, people who gave me advice, people who have provided unvoluntary comic relief).
One TTer towers over everybody, and she deserves public praise.
She has helped me without asking for anything in return, and has provided me with much more then simple practical help.
Among the people trying to take advantage of my situation, she has given me a living example that true altruistic behaviour does exist.
Her TT handle is timonia, and she is a true Angel.
Thank you.

Just wanted to say Thanks to everyone on TT for all the help over the years, for giving me a place to vent my occasional frustrations and to see I'm not so alone. And all those who came out this week to take away my free stuff, saving me from a last minute scramble to cart everything to "der Wertstoffhof"

Take care!

I'd like to send a general thank you to Bipa. There are too many threads to mention specifically, but Bipa has always been so helpful and friendly, and patient with "silly" newbie questions. a bright star of TT. It's not easy to move to a new continent, but with folks like Bipa, it's definitely a little less painful. cheers to you!!

I'd like to thank those who contributed to the Feinstaubplakette thread.
So when I picked my car up from its service yesterday, I wasn't one of the many (and I mean many!) people queueing to get theirs, or bitch about why they couldn't have a green one, and didn't the salesman realise they had kids to drop off in Munich, and where were they allowed to go with the yellow sticker, and . . . you get the idea.
