Angela:

Hilary:

boomtown_rat
One is a very competent leader of Germany and a great role model, the other could be a very good American president. I don't really care what they look like

(but you probably knew I'd say something like that)
Diane
Definitely Angela 'face like bulldog chewing a wasp' Merkel... What a dog! dry.gif
germanyshelley
Who gives an f' what they look like...they're smart women making a difference in the world...what have you done that's comparable?
Keydeck
Well, Diane is not a politician as far as I'm aware, so nothing. It's a political minger poll.
Punchbear
Ming the Merkelless. *shudders*
Punchbear
ey?
Eleanor Rigby
I have to agree with Shelley, if you're going to get bent out of shape because someone had a go at overweight people you can't really turn around and call someone else a dog because they don't live up to your standard of beauty.
Yeti
Their smartness or any changes they have made in the world do not take away or add to their looks.
JerseyBoy
I've always liked Angela Merkel's eyes, so Hilary's my vote here.
sarabyrd
Merkel - steeped in Protestant gloom
Katrina

She's had a wee tweak apparently though.

Just makes me think of the Pet Shop Boys lyrics:

QUOTE
And someone said: "It's fabulous you're still around today,
You've both made such a little go a very long way"

Back handed compliment at it's very finest.

IT IS a Minger poll in case you haven't noticed? Not a who has done more to change the world face off! DUH!

I only asked why the polls have mainly overweight people as 'mingers' as if they are the only minging people, it was a valid point as it has to do with looks, I wasn't talking about their talent or contributions to humanity, just their looks, I mean, Beyonce might look overweight to some but finer body I have never seen...
then after people had a go at me, I decided to join in the 'fun' after all these polls are not to be taken seriously... so basically I'm damned if I do and damned if I don't ...
so that you know, Merkel is also fat so no double standards here and yes everyone I know thinks she is a right dog...

EXACTLY! rolleyes.gif

I think Hillary is lush, she might be older now but she looks great...

Celine is hardly what ye'd call overweight.
Diane
I was referring to Dawn French, Jo Brand, Kelly Osborne and the singer from the gossip...
Keydeck
Ah, gotcha. I was thrown by the bit that said "the polls only have overweight people as 'mingers'" wink.gif
JerseyBoy
Celine needs to eat a few more sammiches, in my opinion, too.

Hmmm... Obviously we're looking through different eyes. I think that Angela Merkel is a bit plump, but I'm not sure if I'd call her "fat."

Trying what? Is funny how I dropped that subject ages ago but everyone else is still obsessing about it, we are here to discuss mingers right? huh.gif

Not really, only if you display a blatant double standard.

Beyonce is the finest body you've EVER seen???

I'm already way above my minger quota for one day thanx.

Yes it is, although she needs more boobage, J-Lo's fine as well, Martine Macutcheon, Monica Bellucci, Salma Hayek's (taller and with more posterior) etc.
JerseyBoy
Obviously, beauty is in the eye of the be(er)holder, because, while I do like Beyonce's body, I would not call it the finest that I have seen. I also think that J-Lo gotta little too much "back," if you get my meaning.
Johnny English
"Junk in the Trunk" is the correct expression.

Call me an old-fashioned romantic if you like but I would rather have a bounce on J-Lo than Keira Knightley.
Yeti
You wouldn't bounce much on Keira, more like snap, crackle and pop.
Ruthie
I think JE is biased because he posted a rather flattering picture of Angie and a rather unflattering picture of Hilary. I think they're both cool.
Johnny English
I am no photography expert blokie - just grabbed what looked fairest from google, but I agree that Angela photo has a softer yellow focus (probably just taken from further away) and that Hilary is shot under sharper and whiter lighting conditions that show up the wrinkles better.

Just for fun I shall now post the BEST shots I can find (but not from when they woz 20).

Given the choice, absolutely!!! I was merely stating that J-Lo has a bit too much to suit her frame.

More cushion for the push-in.
