Port forwarding on a Targa WR100 VOIP router

How to increase BitTorrent download speeds

I'm using the Targa WR100 VOIP router, and mz downloading rate for bit torrents is EXTREMELY slow. It's less than 10 kb/s, and I am supposedly subscribed to a 2Mb/s DSL line. Yes, I know that I will never get the full speed, but <10 kb/s? Anyway, any tips on how to increase my downloading speed? I've read on a lot of other forums that you need to forward your port, but I got no clue how to do that (on this particular router anyway) as most instructions are for common routers. Help please?

Type "Port Forward" into Google and the first result will be your Bible, namely PortForward.com. But, to be honest, if you can't even manage that step on your own then I'm not fancying your chances.

I guess you're referring to the WR 500. You'll need to check the configuration instructions from both the bit torrent software you're using and the router. Then set up port number/s and protocol/s properly.
If yours is the WR 500, the menu path is Netzwerk > NAT & Portregeln > Port-Weiterleitung.
An alternative is to let your computer without NAT filter and use static IP addressing and a software firewall (Netzwerk > NAT & Portregeln > NAT Einstellungen > Standardserver).

I'm not sure whether it's WR 500 or 100, but I can't check until I get home. Thanks for the menu path! I was looking through the menus and can't figure out which one it was because it was all in German.

Whoops, it IS the WR 500 VoIP. But I still can't figure out how to forward the ports so I can download bit torrents quicker. Can someone help me please ? I'm desperate.
