Flea market crawl

Hello-
Would anyone like to get together on a Sunday and cruise a few flea markets? I'm not sure how even possible
it would be to do several in one day, but maybe two different ones? It would even be fun, as 4 o'clock approaches, to
retreat in a bar somewhere and cool off and relax with a cold beer or cocktail. Anyone game? I'll list some dates,

June 24
July 1??
Maybe we can agree on one Sunday to meet and also which markets to visit. Suggestions are welcome as to which
markets we should visit.

Hi Faith, I am def. up for this... sounds fun. Best date from my end is the 17th. I would like to hit the market at Arkonaplatz and Mauerpark. Id be down for drinks after as we go through our loots!

Oooo I wanna go! I haven't been to a flea market in forever! June 17 works for me, as does the week after. July 1 doesn't work for me cuz it's Canada Day.

I'm game for the weekend of the 17th as well.

Ok! cool cool- there are some takers to the crawl idea. I guess it's good to say we should schedule our date for June 17. What is great about this idea,
is that I can't see why there would be a "person limit" (as it's not in a house or other closed environment). Anyone else is welcome to join and we
can continue to organize which markets we visit here.

I like the Mauer Park/Arkona Platz suggestion because they're relatively close together and it's a nice walk from one to the other.

Hi this is a great idea, I am new in Berlin but I have been to couple of the flea markets here, the Mauer park is may favorite, 17 of June is good with me ...

Great! I would love to check out the Mauerpark and arkonaplatz markets as well- they are not in my neighborhood and I'm eager to check out new territory! And it's also a plus that they're close to one another.
However, since it's not in my neighborhood, does anyone have a suggestion of where we could meet up and when? Would 10am be too early?

I looked on the mauerpark link- is the closest U-Bahn station Eberswalder strasse? We could either meet up at the closest S/U bahn station and head to the market from there, or we could even meet up at a cafe somewhere nearby, charge up on coffee before we get our shop on.
Suggestions??

My wife, kid and i will be in town this wekend and will try to join up. We are driving back Sunday afternoon, so drinks are out, but my wife will love the shopping.

I think meeting at the U-Bahn Eberswalderstrasse would be the easiest. There is a very obvious looking large cafe by the U-Bahn there called Manolo as well if anyone is interested.

I dont want to hijack this but can we do it a bit later? or, I could just meet you guys somewhere and stay in touch per handy.

well the rest of you guys, what do you think? I have no idea how big these markets are...we could certainly start later. I myself have to be in Charlottenburg for my salsa class at 5:30 so I can imagine this being a total relaxed thing- I can't even imagine all of us really staying totally together the whole time anyway. We might have to split up anyway, or meet every hour or so at a point at the market. Any veteran shoppers of these markets? When's a good time to go- 12? or later?

Venus, the cafe close to the U-Bahn sounds great. I propose we meet there.

Rathaus Schöneberg has one of the biggest non-touristy flea markets in the city on Saturdays and Sundays. Also, Fehrbellinerplatz there is a "high end" flea market with most everything antiques and collectibles...not too many cleaned out apartment rubbish there and the prices reflect.

it was a lot of fun...great weather, company, good finds (funky old lamp, silver earrings, faux emerald necklace, funk collective albums) and yummy hefeweizens.

lets def. plan another flea market outing soon.

i agree- that was a great flea market and we didn't even make it to the akronplatz next door...
defintely have got to do that one again soon.

It's good to know that you had fun.. I think it is a good idea to visit the Arkonaplatz Flea market as well. it is a nice one I've read in some insider tips book that Arkonaplatz and Mauerpark flea markets are the best in Berlin...let us know if you are planning to this again..

I might be able to make that date. I am trying to go on a bike tour sometime around my birthday. But a flea market sounds really really tempting!!!
