Hi,
i am looking for somewhere fun to spend 3 - 4 hours with my daughter, something a bit different, yesterday I was thinking of coco loco or lollihop, but it seems a shame to stay indoors.I know that google has many ideas, but I dont get the personal recommendations from google. Looking forward to a happy shiny afternoon

The Wasserspeilplatz in Westpark is very good.
  • It has a big paddling lake for the little ones.
  • It has a specially made stream where kids can plug up damms to make the water spill over.
  • It has a giant slide and various climbing gear.
  • It has caves cliffs and mini forests made of pampas grass to play in.
  • It also has a mini beergarden and refreshments kiosk. And toilets.
See My Diagram of the location. Click on the blue tabs to see the information.

Also there are lots of kids pages to loo up stuff. for example: http://www.kinder-muenchen.de/

ian, that is one of my fav playgrounds to run the hashers thru. The other one is close to the Canidiastr (spelling?) Ubahn near the Isar, jsut before the bridge heading into Sendling.

There are also a few nice parks around the city Iain, maybe let us know what area you are looking at, or how far you are willing to either drive or take public transport.
Today, I was out cycling around Unterföhring and the North Englishergarten area, lots of play areas, and okay areas to play in water too along the Isar or in the UnterföhringerSee.

I am looking for some recommendations for favorite playgrounds in the greater Munich area. We live outside of Landsberg- but usually driving into the city on weekends. We have two younger children (3 & 7) and always need to kill an hour or two before dinner (and maybe tire the kids out wink.gif. If anybody can recommend their favorite playground (we go all over for museums, festivals, shopping, etc so location is not that import) or a website with a list -- would love it!

Thanks a lot!
Peg
