Creating a looping Powerpoint presentation

How to do this with an audio track included

No doubt I will want to shot myself as the answer to this is probably very simple.

I am preparing a presentation to leave running on a trade booth stand when we are not there. I want to add some music to it as well. So to the master slide I added a sound file and looped it. However this seems to stop the slide transition from working (also set to automatic after certain number of seconds depending on the slide).

I couldn't find anything on this in the help. Can anyone give me a tip?

Oh and to make things more complicated I also intend to add spoken voice to some of the slides - not recorded it yet though.

Thanks in advance

The best idea I can give you is: DON'T PUT ANY SOUND FILES IN POWERPOINT PRESENTATIONS. Ever.
Also, lose any animation which -- in and of itself -- isn't demonstrative.
See this site for additional advice.

woof.

Is the looped music accidentally tied to the first slide instead of to the master?

I was starting to think that myself - so what can I use instead? Flash?

I don't think so but I will check.

Another random idea I had would be to just run the two files separately I know it is not 'geschickt' but thought that would work?

can you loop the presentation and not the music itself?
Purple Muffin
Yes I can loop the presentation. But as soon as I add the music it doesn't work anymore
Purple Muffin
OH Gen just realised what you meant will try that!
