There is maintenance planned on the S-Bahn Stammstrecke for the last 3 weekends in June, from around 1.20am Sat to end of service on Sun, meaning that there will be disruptions. The S1, S2, S4 and S7 lines are unaffected and run normally, however the others will stop from the West at Hauptbahnhof (or even before it) and from the East at Ostbahnhof (or even before it).

If you have any plans, make sure you allow extra time.

Thanks for this. We're coming back from our holiday next Saturday, so it's good to know in advance that we'll have to get an S1 to Laim and then a taxi home, rather than getting on an S8 as we normally would...

As a Reminder for this Weekend... The disruptions will be so bad, they even put the info up in English on the German pages... biggrin.gif (1st time I've seen that)

Dear S6, kiss my ass! Why do they have to do it when I will be in Munich, whyyyy??? And why does the S6 end in freakin' Giesing?! mad.gif

Exactly, I have to transfer, that's no fun! Just taking the S-Bahn downtown would be much more convenient (but I guess this is not the country of convenience, blah). I also like to get off the S-Bahn at Isartor or Marienplatz, which I now cannot do while I'm there.

The MVV timetable planner seems to have factored in these weekend disruptions, so you can check which changes you need to make:
