I've seen both in real life and on the web these tour boats that fit around 25 people for a week long trip in the Adriatic. They generally go from Saturday to Saturday and offer a variety of itineraries. I'm most interested in Souther Dalmatia (the islands between Split and Dalmatia). I am considering this as a week-long vacation late July/early August with my husband and 8 year old son. Has anyone tried these? Any opinions? What are the standards? What kind of people should I expect- elderly? young partyers? families?

Any input is appreciated.
Thanks.

On boats of these type expect a lot of first time "sailors" If they run like in Turkey, then loads of booze and eating of an evening with maybe a bit of music as well. You wont do any sailing really just motor from bay to bay and be dropped off at restaraunts which have been co-operating with the boat for a long time. Beware rip off artists, lots down there. Nice area though. smile.gif
