I am living in a flat and have a wireless phone, separate from the base unit. I am on a separate phone number it is through a four port dsl router I guess through the base station. Is there any way I can use an answerphone as I see no connection wires for my phone, it sits in the ladestation and has no phone line cable.

Thanks to any geniuses out there

You need an NFN adapter that looks like this (or similar):

Simply disconnect your phone then plug the adapter in the same socket you currently use for the phone, then plug your phone into the centre socket of the adapter. An answering machine then plugs into the left of the three sockets in the adapter. These things costs around €10 (Part number 922660-62) with a 20cm cable from Conrad in Tal

There is a similar, smaller adapter (Part number 922729-62 from Conrad) for €9:

but this can be tight depending on the original socket/outlet.
