I've an innovation for the automotive world

But my visa was rejected, please help me

I like to call myself as an innovator and I specialize in Automotive imaging. I‘ve set of imaging algorithms which satisfies the pressing need of the automotive industry,(BMW, Volvo, DC.. are looking for this product for the last 4-5 years). As I can't contact them directly, I contacted to a German company(who is also doing research in the same field for the last 8 years ) who showed very much interest in my product and they even send me an invitation , flight tickets , hotel booking , travel cost to me and with this I applied for a German visa form India , but for unknown reasons German consulate rejected that . The German company discussed with the German foreign embassy and send a fax to German consulate in India and asked me to resubmit the visa application. I did that and even after that German consulate rejected my visa today. I don’t know what to do now (I ‘ve traveled to US many times and even holding a 10 yr Business visa ,I was even had a German work permit in 2005 from my previous company, but I didn’t used it now it is expired ) . Please advice me how to proceed further,
I am quiet sure that my innovation will change the automotive world
Thanks in advance
Najeeb Narayanan.

You really don´t need to personally go somewhere to sell your idea. And also, if you really have a great new idea be careful whom you tell about it, because they may steal it. But you do need to get a company´s backing -- where exactly do you want to patent your idea? You should apply for a PCT in India.

Perhaps share your innovation here, and I'll be sure to take it directly to the Big Three. For you.

Meet somewhere in the middle!
Also go to your local German Embassy and request a clarification of why you were denied. Bring all you paperwork to prove your point.
iain
could you meet them in switzerland?
Illic
It's hard to believe this...If the german company was really interested, they could set up a meeting outside of germany...plus a lot of them should have branches outside of germany anyway...if that doesn't work, sell it to a US company instead.

Thanks for the replies
I have a working solution and the company want to see the on road performance (they already invested 25-30 mn on research so spending any more they want to make it sure that it works properly )that’s why I need to go to Germany. I went to the consulate two times and shown all the documents even the german company send a fax to german consulate but still they rejected the visa , Now I ‘ve two visa rejections in my passport which is bad.

The german company is ready to support me , What they need is some information on how to proceed, whom to contact, can they push through some official channels?
send me some thoughts so that I can suggest the company to do that
eurovol
Already did that. Meet somewhere in the middle. It is either that or get a middle man who actually lives here already to do the dirty work.
naj
I can show the demo in any where in the world , but unlike US roads German roads are bit different , more curves , hill areas , so they want to see my solution working all these conditions ,that’s why they want me to be in germany

I may be wrong but I think you could be about to get shafted.

Get a Visa to Vienna and then drive up to Germany. No problem then.
naj
I had two visa rejections now , so I am little doubtful about getting a visa to vienna too sad.gif

Failure begins where trying ends.

NO I am verymuch optimistic I am working for this algorithm for more than 1- 2 years , so I want to see it working in all cars , I will keep trying till I succeeds , I am trying to get some clarity so that I can keep away form known mistakes. Thanks for the suggestions . I will keep everybody posted

Any more new thoughts ? please help ..

get a new passport, make a hotel reservation to paris for vacation, say a week, take resa to french embassy, tell them you are going to France on vacation - any questions? Talk about the Louvre and Orsay museums (look them up on the web). Go to Paris (cancel hotel resa) and then to Munich. Problem solved (I hope).

Marry a German...

Did you apply for the visa with valid return ticket and insurance?
Swiss is a good alternative provided your German partner agrees, and it is easy to get a tourist visa to Swiss from India . BTW, have you applied for a patent for your idea/algorithm?
hopskipjump
Did the German embassy explain why your visa application was refused? If you have previously been granted entry to Germany there must be some explanation of why you can't now.
naj
They have attached one letter which says that "According to German low Section 77 paragraph 2 of German Residence act states For denial or limitation of visa no notification or reasons or legal remedy need be given ". nothing else .

I had a german work permit in 2005 and have no criminal history in my life . ther was a stronginvitation letter from the german company , despite of all these things they rejected my visa

If people are so keen to get this innovation of yours, will they not travel to you? Or communicate with you via electronic means? Or meet you in another place as already suggested? Doesn't make sense.

Yes they will , As I 've a working solution they need to show a demo in geran roads .. thats why I need to be in germany
naj
some of my friends told me that , The german company can send a fax to german ambassidor in india , to get it done . please send me your thoughts . or do you have any other thoughts ,The german comoanyis on among the biggest companies inthe world . they are ready t support me . if some body to contact in india whom to contact ?? or who takes the visa approvel decisions ? in germany or in India itself
Keydeck
Yeah, you mentioned that before, but it doesn't make any sense. There are road systems all over the world which are comparable to those in Germany. The only thing I can think of off the top of my head which might be unique is the 'no speed limit' sections on the autobahn.

However, you didn't seem interested in motorways as such. You said...

Curves and hills, the like of which exist on German roads, exist all over Europe and many other places besides.
naj
This caompnay is doing reserch in the same field in last 7 years and their experience says that belive only after completing some test drives . I know hills and curve are quiet common in india also but , they want to have a road demo in germany

First thing i read on their website www.new-delhi.diplo.de

The German Embassy has changed its visa process.

Maybe this is the cause for your problem. They might not understand their own new regulations...

On the new VISA APPLICATION CENTRE:
http://www.new-delhi.diplo.de/Vertretung/n...perty=Daten.pdf

In this document they also mention a helpline you could call: 011 4253 0000

There seem to be different proceedings, depending if you are from the south or north of india
http://www.vfs-germany.co.in/

Another helpline mentioned: 044 2433 3226

More tel and fax numbers:
http://www.auswaertiges-amt.de/diplo/de/La...rtretungen.html

The requirements for a Schengen Visa:
http://www.new-delhi.diplo.de/Vertretung/n...perty=Daten.pdf

And a last thought: Even if the consulate in Chennai is the right place to contact, it might be easier to get someone who speaks german in the embassy in New Delhi...

You probably knew all this already. Sorry thats all I could come up with. sad.gif
