I'm about to upgrade my T-DSL connection to 16Mbits and they've said I'll need a new modem or modem-router to receive this. At the moment I've got the T-Com standard Sinus 1054, which I've actually had no problems with considering it was the cheap-o basic option. My big gripe though is the German language only option and the lack of support so I thought for my next router I'd get a mainstream router (Netgear, Linksys, Belkin etc.).

Although I'm pretty proficient on the technical side of things for the Wi-Fi I'm not sure of what protocols T-DSL uses for their 16MBit service. As far as I can see is it ADSL2+ that I should be looking for in the technical spec of a new modem-router? If I buy in Germany does anyone know if the language of the router config page be changed? Is there anything else I'll need to know before buying?
