Change of voice on S-Bahn internal announcements

Have you heard the new male voice? Any opinions?

So hopped on to the usual S5 today and while approaching Rosenheimer str. I suddenly hear the voice for announcements has changed, gone is that robotic woman who would go on and on, it has been replaced by a man's voice that is even worse. So the guy sounds retarted and more than that, he sounds as if he is making announcements for the shortbus! At first I thought I dreamt it all, but no come Isartor, there was a mans voice again.

I also think he happens to have done the voiceover sitting on the bog!

Has anyone else been subjected to this or is it just me? Opinions?

Why the hell cant they get some good voice over people heaven knows.

At least in your case you can actually hear what he is saying. I usually ride the tram, and the announcements at the tram stop generally leave twenty people milling around asking each other if they had any idea what the announcement was about.
arshoo
ruthie, if he said it any slower I would not have made out the words either.

Any clue as to which language?
arshoo
well both sb, german and the usual german & english while approaching Ostbf or somesuch station.

I thought the woman's voice was lovely.
arshoo
well compared to what it is now, I will have to agree.

Remember once EdBob or someone said on TT that the MVV were searching for some english speakers to do voiceovers for the announcements, I seem to remember some people applied. So I thought when it changed maybe I would get to hear the voice of a TT'er...doesnt seem to be the case.
