The Bird's one-year birthday party

The Bird, an American bar/steakhouse/burger joint in Prenzlauer Berg and site of one Thursday Night Drinks, one Sunday Brunch, and too many Whiskey Wednesdays, is celebrating one year in business this Saturday. According to thebirdinberlin.com and the fliers I've seen around, they plan to celebrate by getting drunk and grilling an ostrich. They'll also have specials on beer (MGD, sorry) and shots. The festivities start at 2pm Saturday, June 2nd.

So are we going to this then peeps? There was a lot mentioned last night but I don't know what the final decision was...

If I get over this flu I might stop by for a bit. (as well as climbing out of my severe pit of depression )

I reckon it might be worth it...saves me from having to go shopping for food for a BBQ!

I'm planning to be there, along with some folks from work who are Bird regulars.

BTW, for those who didn't hear last night, the Hackescher Markt/Am Kupfergraben end of the M1 is going to be replaced by a bus below Zionskirchplatz. And the U2 is still a bus above Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz. Whee.

Ok, so scrap the BBQ on the canal and we'll head to the Bird...cool by me. Less washing up
