Hi,
I am new here in Toytown and thought I would ask if there is anyone near us with English speaking kids who would be interested in meeting occasionally.
My daughter is 5 years old and my son almost 3 years old. We are a German/Scottish family and speak mainly German at home. I speak English with the kids but they don't get any practice with children their own age. After the summer hols both children will be in Kindergarten, and I am a bit worried that they then will hardly speak English.

Hi Macmama,
My name is Sherrie and I live in Krefeld. I would love to help form a playgroup. My daughter is two, and I have the same concerns as you do. Feel free to contact me.

There is an
American Women's Club in Duesseldorf that has several weekly playgroups based on location, child's age. (You don't have to be American). They tend to be a bit closer into town but if you don't mind driving a bit, they are there and planned.

Any new developments with this idea. I have been absent from TT for quite a while now (due to moving and school changes) and am interested in meeting more people in the Neuss-D'dorf-Krefeld area. I have 2 very active boys (2.5 and 4). I also have another girlfriend who would like to meet more moms as well. If interested, please post here. Thanks.

Hi Ladies,
I would like to offer my house for the first meeting. If you would like to contact (private message) me and we can set up a date and time I would be happy to get the ball rolling. Or if you would rather meet somewhere central for the first time we could do that as well. Let me know what you think.

Hi, I am interested in meeting more moms with kids. Not necessary to be a playgroup, we can also meet at the playground somewhere in Duesseldorf, or? Please let me know if there is any further news. ylschmidt@gmail.com Thanks.
