"Mature" nightlife - bars and nightclubs

Just arrived in Munich. Will be here for a few months. Wondering if there are any clubs, bars, nightlife for a 40 something year-old guy interested in meeting, socializing with women over 30's/40's age group.

Was in the Arc last night. That seems full of mature people. Otherwise check out the meet ups in Munich section.

Will be interested to see the answers to this question, as I am a woman over thirty and have yet to find a good place.

Oh, except if you are interested in dancing, I like the Ü30 Parties at the Georg-Elser-Halle (sp?) -- the crowd is mostly over thirty, and they have three rooms with different types of music. The crowd isn´t so snobby as at a lot of other places.

Hey, that´s an idea -- is there ever a "TT goes dancing" night? - might be fun.

One big club like that isn't really available. They do have the over 30 parties and perhaps that is something to check out. There are hidden clubs outside the mainstream nightlife, but they a bit harder to find and usually local specific. I have heard that Two Rooms and 8 Seasons are more for the experienced souls. I would start your search around Stachus if you want something central.

If you want experienced women try the disco downstairs at the Hofbraeukeller . . .

TT U30 dance party? Set it up and me and the missus is there!

eurovol when i read your U30 i read it as how they rate sports teams in the US U30 would be under30, but then i got the whole u=uber thing...

Any chance of making up a Ü30 social evening for this sort of thing (meeting up having a laugh) always more fun in a group. We could do a TT Georg-Elser-Halle whens it on next?

I'd definitely be up for a night of dancing...we tried a few times to get the TT over 30's dinner participants to go on dancing afterwards but only once did we manage a trip to Kunstpark Ost! One disco didn't want to let us in though as we "would not fit their clientele" i.e. we were over the hill!! Mind you there are plenty of places to choose from there.

The Ü30 parties are usually on every 2 weeks - sponsored by Charivari/Radio Gong. Been to a couple - not bad. I see you made a suggestion to go to Schlachthof too..heard that is also ok but was never there myself. I'd also like to try 2Rooms at some point especially the Salsa.
