Hi all,

I've searched away but only found some old post that don't really answer my question.

Any recommendations for shipping a car (in this case an MGB 63) from CA to Munich? I'm really looking for a shipping company recommendation from a satisfied TTer.

Also, garages in the Munich area that deal with classics? Stories?

Thnx,
zm

Unless you have the money to do it right, then leave it there or sell it. Seriously, the stress and salt will do it no good.

She'll sleep in a garage during the winter - as a convertible from the 60's - she not made for Munich winters. Fair weather lady. I'll also be bringing a Peugeot 404 convertible but from France (and in pieces). These old gals need care.

Why don't you search on the US side of things. There are plenty of places that ship cars from the US to foreign countries without leaving on the top side a of ship exposed for weeks on end.

I will (and have) but was hoping to get some input from perhaps someone that had already shipped one. Stranger things. I'm sure someone has already shipped a car in a box.
