My ISDN only half works, what could be wrong?

We have just moved house and had T-Com switch our existing phone number to the new house. We have ISDN and a Siemens gigaset DECT system. The system worked fine for a couple of days but then stopped working. Telekom say the line is fine and the issue is with our Gigaset. I have removed the Gigaset and just attached a analog phone to the wall and then a wired ISDN phone to the terminal adaptor and the problem does not go away which tells me the problem is not in the Gigaset basestation. We can make outgoing calls so that also tells me the cables are OK.

Any ideas?

have you changed your Number when you moved or did you keep the old one?

Edit.. Re-read your post...

You took your number with you.. Try re-entering your MSNs or Clear the old ones..

IT WORKS !!!

Thanks very much for your answer. The lesson here is to post on toytownmunich before asking Telekom to add no value and charge for a call out!

For anyone who reads this post and has a similar problem then I think I have worked something out. The DECT basestation must program some part of the ISDN terminal adaptor when you set up the MSN settings. I didn't know this and so was surprised that I had the same issue even with the base-station completely removed. Reset the MSN settings on the base-station and it must reset the setup of the terminal adaptor and everything in life is great.

Now...can anyone tell me how to persuade Telekom to invest the thousands of Euro's needed to bring DSL to this part of rural Bavaria?!!!
