It took 1.5 hours to drive from unterschleissheim to schwabing. any idea what caused the huge traffic?
Carm
nope, all our last patients today had to be rebooked all were sitting in 'stau' this evening. One was over 1.5 hours on the A9 by Garching.

Everything was gridlocked today, I was lucky to get out of town via Feldmoching to Schleißheim. Maybe people taking Wednesday off prior to Thursday's public holiday. Anyway the A99 west to east was standstill, Schwabing to Kreuz München Nord as well, Mittlerer Ring from Ingolstädter Strasse to Berg am Laim. I am looking forward to the S-Bahn after 2 days straight of driving to work.
Allershausen
There was an accident on the A99, on the bit between the Salzburg Autobahn and the A9, not sure whereabouts exactly, because I wasn't listening properly, but they were telling people to avoid the area on the radio, so I guess everybody did! It took me over an hour to get home instead of about half an hour.
Sin
It was a travesty. My train from Karlsruhe was 7 (that's SEVEN) minutes late into Munich.

I was stuck on the A9 coming into Munich for 3 hours yesterday evening !!!
Does anyone know what was going on ??

They closed the Petueltunnel due to an accident apparently.
sarabyrd
I passed that tunnel east to west at app. 6:20pm and they were still letting people through west to east.

It was jammed out west along the Landsberger Strasse too. The one day in about 6 months that I use the car mad.gif
Carm
apparently today the traffic is super backed up, most patients are coming late again.
Kat

edit: hmm, think my bike-eating tree pic may have been a copyright issue thing

Damn, I was the same way... Every road heading south from Freising was stopped up. It took 2.5 hours to get home (stopping for a little food on the way).

This was the one day I took a ride from a friend because it would be 'faster'... ugh.

The fastest mode of transportation yesterday was by bike. The Sbahn/Ubahn/bus combo that I sometimes use to get into work took 1.5 hours yesterday...from Oberschleissheim. Luckily, yesterday, I was on 2 wheels.

It took me 1.5 hours from Allershausen to Haidhausen (normally 30mins). I guess it would have been longer if I had stayed on the Autobahn and if I had not followed a taxi with a fare and a M number plate taking the back roads to town!
