Every year the Schloss Blutenburg hosts a (white) wine fest in the courtyard with wine, wine, wine, food and more wine.

It's easy to go as a group, stake out a place in the courtyard with a picknic blanket and enjoy the wine on the first day - luckily a public holiday. It lasts through the weekend, and is normally really crowded - so go early.

It's an easy bike ride, and through the fields on the way back if you plan your route properly. Public transport is also easily doable with the bus.

I know we live in germany, but geez, why are all the cute wine fests that shit awful german wine?

Have they stopped selling red wine ? I remember some years ago buying a bottle of red there. My daughters go every year, they wouldn't miss it. On the night before it opens they used to give free samples out.

Weinkenner, Feinschmecker und alle Freunde von Schloss Blutenburg sind zu diesem Treffpunkt im Schloss eingeladen; mit kulturellem und musikalischen Rahmenprogramm für jung und alt. Zur Eröffnung an Christi Himmelfahrt findet ein Gottesdienst (Beginn 9.30 Uhr) in der Schlosskapelle statt
