A little question I wanted to ask ever since I left the Orange House this Saturday after seeing what is arguable the best live performance ever (!!!11):
So Of Montreal are known for their penchant for covers, this time they gave two that I recognized: Sulfragette City by Bowie (brilliant), and another one which I recognized but can't remember anymore, it's a rock-pop piece from the 70s, possibly by the Clash, played a lot in 80s discos and stuff like that.
Was anyone else there, and can remember the other cover?

Can you remember any of the lyrics? Some people are pretty good at recognising a song from a line or two.

If I could do that I'd know the song, this is something so known, if you just hum it at me I could tell you what it is...

Google their setlist for that night.
Or post a comment on their
myspace about it, maybe someone else who was there that night could tell you.

Doesn't work, the setlist is nowhere to be found. I found other setlists with Suffragette City in them but they did other Bowie covers, not this song.
Damn.
A beer to whoever makes me remember...

Subtitle castrated, again. Does anyone keep some kind of score about that?

I think the other cover was actually a Stranglers song.

Wait... it was "All Day and All of the Night". And I thought their rendition of Suffragette City was even better than the original. What a fantastic show. I can't believe they aren't hugely famous.
