Music to do housework to

I am taking a break from cleaning (yes, on Mothers Day!) and am wondering if others put on some special music for doing housework. Not the casual wiping the counters or loading the dishwasher but real, back-bending, scrubbing house-work. So before I started I scanned the Music channels on the digi-box and came up with an Abba special. Great stuff, when you aren't distracted by conversation or reading a book or anything else you can appreciate the quality of the composition, arranging and singing, and the songs have enough bounce to keep you in a good mood while working.
Generally, I tend to listen to Meatloaf's Greatest Hits (double CD) or very early Al Stewart.
Does anyone else have a favorite Housecleaning Music? (see also Händel's Firework Music or Water Music)

I like doing my housework to Andreas Bocelli, I turn it on really loud.

I find that something fast usually helps, like the Prodigy or something.

I only put music on to do the ironing..mostly something lively that I can move along to.

I agree Bocelli is great! His Amore CD stays in my changer. I also like to go back to some old Earth, Wind, and Fire, Lionel Richie, Sarah Vaughn, or Shirley Bassey when I clean my house.

ohmy.gif dear God, no. Not Lionel Richtie. I was damaged for years after having Lionel Ritchie prom songs and graduation songs.

Really, damaged? Have you recovered yet? I love his greatest hits CD and especially the song Easy. Easy like Sunday mornings.

Violent Femmes for me, Sugarcubes, old rock and roll.

Housework? probably want to listen to some working-class rocknroll like...oh...the Street Dogs, who are playing tonight at the backstage.

Alternatively, if you're older than shit, listen to my home-town hero, Eddie Cochran.
