Hey everyone, as most of you here are also non-German native speaker, may I hold a small discussion here on how to improve spoken German away from Germany?
I have been working in my home country for quite a while. Recently I'm planning to work for an English publisher in a few days rather than the previous German company. At work I don't have to speak German as frequently as I did in the first company. Though I would try to keep the language in mind. Several days before I'd met up with several previous German colleagues who were on a short-term trip and found it a bit embarrassing to speak German with them. It's very common with a non-native speaker. A language slips away from one's memory very soon if he doesn't practise it as often as possible. I have tons of audiobooks (Hoerbuch), but none of them has a text. That is to say, it's not easy to find misunderstandings when only listening to them. And in my home country, German books are just very few.
Anyone has some experiences on this issue? For example, some good websites for German readings etc.? Thank you
