Does anybody know what is this tvtv online service? My German is not good enough to understand their website, but it looks like they offer EN language channels over the internet. www.tvtv.de
How does it work?

Looks like TV program listings to me, ie. they tell you what's on and when... rolleyes.gif

it is a TV listings website where you can create lists of shows to record and then export this list to your digital PVR so you don't have to manually programme your recorder. You cannot watch anything online.

Oh, an EPG only sad.gif thank you for your answers!

Of course, you could also have looked at the same site in English (almost)

There is an undercurrent of distaste for this organisation. They sponsor (i.e. subsidise) the sale of PVRs and DVD-recorders that only work properly (or at least conveniently) when hooked into their EPG service which of course has a monthly fee. So people feel duped into buying what seems like a cheap TV recorder compared to others only to find that there is a monthly cost to really be able to use it usefully.

i believe you can also export the record list to the Archos AV700tv personal video player and DVR, so you can save on the manual programming but I may be mistaken on that.

I think my posting described the undercurrent pretty well, and I stand by what I say (and understand it perfectly)
