Was just thinking whether there are means of getting customized news on a sector (eg telecom) or such as a summary email or as a widget on me desktop so that when something new is put on the net I come to know about it.
I know there are people who can do this when you subscribe to their services, was wondering whether I can do this free. Beats searching google news for the same and then having to surf.
I have a businessweek thingy on me desktop that tells me all tha BW is writing on telecom/IT if you are aware of anything else would be a great help.
thanks...

On Vista you have a RSS feed thing.

If you have Firefox you can get an RSS add-in that will notify you of changes.

You can dowload some weird sidebar thingy for XP that is a bit Vista-ish, and has a built in RSS reader.
On my phone, I use something called AvantGo, which basically downloads a load of web pages (well, sports news) in the morning for me, for reading on the ubahn.
