This is Lärz airfield in McPomm? Lärz is the only surviving airfield in the area known as Rechlin where German aircraft were developed up to WWII.

It was a Russian MIG base until reunification and is now a private airfield - our club held Summer gliding camp there in
2004 I think - its miles from anywhere. Have filmed a Luftwaffe Tornado landing there...

& no - I wont be there for this non-flying activity smile.gif

The map given on the website isn't very clear.

Here's the location on Google Maps: Lärz airfield, Germany

It's about 100km north-west of Berlin, half-way to Rostock.

johnny

From the Fusion website:

QUOTE
There is a cheap connection from Berlin (or somewere in Brandenburg) with the "Brandenburg Ticket". Look for your connection from Berlin to Mirow Bahnhof at www.bahn.de. Ignore the price, because the "Brandenburg Ticket" is valid for up to 5 Persons and costs EUR 23,- Share the ticket for a cheap journey.

Looks like the ticket is now EUR 28. Still a bargain for 5 people.

If you are interested in sharing let me know.
Artist_Aus_Seattle
my party of 2 might be into that.
