Hello
I am from Egypt, and I will study undergraduate program for four years besides one year for language preparation course.
So am I eligible for permanent residence after staying for five years in Germany?.
Thanks in advance.

nope. Students do not usually count at all or for reduced counts for visa status. Normally you have to pay full taxes for five years to have a long term visa. You can have a special exception after three years of full taxes in that you can change your employer without having the arbeitsamt approval. However a student status counts for a maximum of 1.5 years towards that three year with each full year counting only as half that time.
