I am thinking to start a property agent business, basically to "assist" Brits, Irish and Americans who want to invest in property in Germany.
Anybody in the Bonn Köln region who fancies discussing working together on this over a pint?

Invest in property in Germany? I don't want to put a damper on your idea, but if you're looking to invest, then property in Germany is about the worst thing you can do. Prices are practically falling in real terms.

Are going to focus on residential or commercial real estate? Are you looking for a partner who will bring in capital or a customer database or both?

I agree its a buyer's market in most parts of Germany at the moment but for right or wrong, with the markets crashing in Spain and the US and the UK market on the brink, a lot of people are looking at Germany now. Wasn't it Warren Buffet that said buy from pessimists and sell to optimists?
There are opportunities to find good rental yields here. Much better than the UK at the moment.

What goes up comes down ... and I hope vica-versa. I'm not the only fool who thinks now is the time to invest in German property.
No focus yet, both are a possibility, capital not essential, just some knowledge of the market and energy, I suppose ideally I would like work with a German agent.
