Looking ahead to the new year - what are my options for financing a used luxury car? (Say a mid-90s €60,000 Ferrari)

I do consulting and have a small business on the side - I'd like to have the car for 12-18 months. Anyone have an idea how much this would cost - what kind of companies would be good to do the finance - and any gotchas?

Cheers,
Ben

This would be fun to drive, AND affordable biggrin.gif

Be very careful you do not buy one with around 25,000 miles on the clock. The 30,000 mile service is a biggie and could cost up to €15,000 alone.

Be prepared to budget high for maintenance on a mid to late 90s Ferrari. Even using independents things get pricey quickly. I had a 97 355GTB for a couple of years so I speak from experience. Ferraris are not built to last, Catalysts go (10K miles) , so does the bond between the roof and rear wing causing rust bubbles on the top of the rear wing - design defects.

But the sound is fantastic and so is the driving experience. You need to budget 5-6K pounds a year to keep a car in A1 condition. Financing might be the least of your worries.
