Wow, they are all great, hard to select only one.

Is Pic 2 meant to be landscape?
I wondered the same, I think it should be portrait.

I'll change it now

What's the theme? Reflections? Or does it not matter, we should just pick our favourite?

Yes, the theme was Reflections.

I see picture two has been rotated; it looks much better this way. Too bad it wasn't properly positioned when it was originally posted, as that might have made a difference for some voters. But it's getting a healthy amount of votes anyhow, so I guess no big loss.
All of them are great - nice work, TT photographers!

Nah, its easy. 5 wins on shear simplicity alone. Of course, Photoshop would help to frame it, but the substance of the photo can't be beat.
PS: a raindrop would have put it over the top instantly.

I cannot believe someone ranked this poll. haha

I feel normal now because I thought pic 5, 2 and 8 were the best. 2 had bad lighting and 8 was just too obvious so I went with 5. Cool.

Well I will not vote so I cannot see results. Did number 5 win?

Perdido, voting runs till Saturday. Plus, you can click the button under the poll to see the results even if you have not voted...which you should anyway.

Number 8 is a very well taken photo and I suspect it was taken with the best camera. 5 is a lovely clear reflection, but it is poorly framed.
This is a nice little competition and I look forward to seeing more photos.

Even though it is obvious I won't "win" I totally agree - the competition was great and I look forward to seeing more as well as doing this again.
PD - Perdido I will PM you my photo number and you can vote for me

some nice pics, well done guys. It would be good if you could put them in the gallery or something as i think it would be easier to view them there.

I did finally vote, but it was a hard decision. I think they all are great photos.
Am looking forward to the next competition, might even join in the next one.

Seven did it for me. IMO it wins solely on use of color (car and ad-stand and iron thingies in the back make a beautiful complement to the colors in the back of the window) and perspective, in the way the vertical green and blue boards sort of open up just for the reflected items to fit in. Thinking of reflections, even if this wasn't intentional, this is the most original idea in terms of photography that I've seen here.
4 would be a close contender, but falls on bad framing, same for 5 which I think could have been all that much better had the photographer stepped in a bit closer to the puddle, catching the same perspective on the reflectables but filling more of the frame, plus getting more of a DOF effect when focusing on the statue (the sidewalk would be more blurred).

I am also a BIG fan of number 7. I just love the pastel-y colours. I can't actually see a reflection in number 4 - is symmetry a reflection??

meh!
6 is the best. just.
I totally agree. Its the only one that really JUMPS out at you... the others are good, with nice reflections, but 6 is the one that really caught my eye.

The monument is the reflection in number 4. Its a window with some blinds in it, with the monument reflected from across the street. I think its one of the most clever shots in the competition

I agree with pootle, the idea was very original and well thought, I just think the framing kind of bugs my eye too much. I mean, this window with the pattern on the walls is just begging for symmetry, and cutting out the top part of the window sort of spoils that effect for me.

totally agree - i really wanted to vote for number 4, but couldn't bring myself to do it because of the window chopped off at the top

Agree 100%, I thought the shot was brilliant; it really looks as if the statue is behind bars, begging to be freed. I would have definitely voted for that photo if it hadn't been for the framing. As it is, I have yet to make up my mind...

voted for #1, I like the composition with the diagonals giving it lots of depth and the grey/yellow contrast. Plus the cigarette butt in the front, priceless! But some of the others are really great, too. So many different results for one theme, very creative folks indeed.

I've voted for #1 too, though it was a hard choice. Good composition, and the colours, the puddle and the gutter perspective give it a lot of atmosphere.

I find that requires a good eye to whomever spotted that puddle!
Great shot.

I liked six but voted for twelve because I thought it was at an unfair disadvantage being the last photo and it had only received one vote. People are like penguins cos once one starts getting votes then other people have a tendancy to vote for the same one, I think it is called the penguin principle in management and David Brent is a master at it. I will make a prediction that Keydeck shot the first photo which I liked as well.

I thouht that its a very high standard... no ones going to make millions out of it, but none the less its nice to see just how people see different things
I Think that No8 is very very cleaver... everyone else has focused on the reflection... this one is so subtle!
Nice piccie!

I very nearly went for #5 as it is a great shot. Simple but extremely effective.
The reason I went for #4 was the idea behind it. It's composed so well. The idea is fantastic. You get the reflection which takes two completely unrelated elements and puts them in a new and wholely different light. Not only does it show a part of Munich, it says something new about the statue itself - and on top of that, it's something that people probably walk past every day and never make the association.
#5 (minus the lightfitting) is a postcard I'd happily have on my wall ... but #4 pipped it for me for the idea ...
