Hello

I have a work permit issued by my employer for 3 yrs until jan 2009

Unfortunately due to company restructuring I have been asked to leave by end of may.

How long can i stay here in munich. Ideally to minimize the disruption to my family i would like them to stay here for another 6 mths and my son continue his high school here until i find a job. If i show availability of funds/assets to support my family can i get an extension

BTW i hold a non eu passport but i have a usa green card

any inputs/ information would be highly appreciated
