Units of each organization do exist in Munich

I just wanted to post a topic for those who might be interested in having their kid(s) join now, or at any time in the future.

First off, yes, local units of each organization exist here in the Munich area! They follow the same guidelines and advancement paths that the units stateside follow. Naturally, all activities are conducted in English, although many of the children are not native English speakers. In fact, the units display a wonderful mix of nationalities.

I will use this thread to continue to add additional information as time goes on, but if you have any interest in attending one of our events, or joining, please do not hesitate to post here and contact me!

Cub Scout Pack 147, affiliated with the Munich International School in Starnberg, is just wrapping up another fun filled year. Check out the web site at

pack147munich.spaces.live.com

We are a very "international" pack within the framework of the Boys Scouts of America organization, with scouts from the US (many states), India, Germany, Poland, Australia etc etc. Boys in grades 1-5 are eligible to participate. They do not need to attend the Munich International School to become a member.

Anyone interested in having their son participate in the 2007-2008 year should contact me (Mike Levis) at mplevis@gmail.com. I am the cubmaster for the pack and will connect them to the appropriate den leader for more information.
