Perhaps a silly question, but how do you manage your bookmarks?
I work on different machines at work, at home, or wherever, and it would be nice if I had a common list of bookmarks which I could use from wherever. It would be nice if my bookmarks weren't stored on my work machine, and it would be nice if I could just "add bookmark" from whichever machine I happen to be working on, and subsequently access it from wherever.
I've managed up until now without, and am trying to organise everything into a word document. The interrim solution is to email this word document around... (bit crappy I know!)
Would appreciate suggestions!
Cheers!

Google browser sync: all your data belong to Sergey, and he makes it easy too.

I use Firefox at home and IE at work.. would be good if this was transparent.

@Randy:
Looks like what I need, but I'm not interested in storing cookies and stuff. Just the bookmarks. Plus, it probably not wise having my history from my home PC stored in my work PC.
Also, does it work with IE?

Try
http://del.icio.us/, should make life easier for you if you use multiple machines.

or you could try an online bookmarking site like
del.icio.usedit: beaten to the mark!

satish: It doesn't work with IE, but it is configurable to only sync bookmarks. Try de.licio.us or any other web-based bookmark manager (search tip: see last 3 keywords in previous sentence). Aye, what Tom17 & sGb27 said.

I use Firefox across all my machines, windows and linux. There is a plugin called Foxmarks. By default it is setup to sync online with Foxmarks own DB but you can configure it to sync with your own server. I have mine setup to sync with an FTP server I have at home. Works perfectly, it's easily my favourite plugin.
Here's a
howto on setting it up to sync via FTP

do y'all like delicious? I'm really annoyed at having my bookmarks be incomplete at home or at work since i do end up doing a bit of private research during the day.

I have registered my own web space and created a simple HTML file with all my favorites on it. I point the browsers of all the machines I work on to this page and done. This way I only have to change the HTML file just once when I add or remove something.

You what?!
The
Opera browser 9.5 synchronises bookmarks from wherever you are to their server. The service is free and totally secure.
See it here.

Help, I'm having flashbacks of the mid-Nineties!

Sounds more complicated that registering with Opera and letting it synchronise.
