Catering equipment suppliers and catalogues

Hiya everyone,

I'm still looking in to (fantasizing about) starting a cafe in Berlin. Does anyone have any recomendations for suppliers for fridges, ovens, knives, worktops, etc? I imagine there are catalogues one can get a hold of, does anyone have any names/addresses they'd like to share? I'd like to be able to get a rough idea of the cost of fitting the place out.

Do you have a Metro card? a lot of suppliers there where you can talk to them face to face in a one stop shop.

Edit: sorry just realized you are in Scotland and looking for online info.

For my home brewing activities I needed some large pots and stuff and found many inexpensive bits on eBay. There's a special catering professional's section here.

Ok asked a chef friend what they use and this is the brand he recommends for quality. not sure about the prices but have a look.

Like HellesAngel I was going to suggest eBay too.

I have looked on there for businesses I speak little German however the layout is very similar to the UK site so load them both up at the same time and you can refer back to the English one if you get lost!

I generally search with price highest first as this tends to cut out all the crap on there for 10 cents.
