I'm hoping for help with finding the correct English term:

Bewehrung(en) (steel sticks in concrete) - is it reinforcement?

My dictionary gives me "reinforcement", "concrete reinforcement" or "embedded reinforcement" as "Armierung" so i'm wondering whether there is another English word corresponding with "Bewehrung".

Hmmm back home we always call it rebar:
Rebar

That's the only word I have ever heard for it, but that is only a Canadian standpoint, not sure what the other countries would say...
Lexicon
yep, rebar in the US too.

Yes it is rebar - from REinforcing BAR.

Reinforced steel concrete.

Bewehrungen = steel reinforcing, or reinforcing steel bars and or meshing.

Rebar is only I would imagine an American word deriving from reinforced bars.
