Hi. I have the words 'Selbststaendige Taetigkeit nicht gestattet' in my student Aufenthaltstitel, though it also says 'Beschaeftigung, die insgesamt 90 Tage oder 180 halbe Tage im Jahre nicht ueberschreitet... gestattet'. I'm not sure if that makes me eligible to do 3 weeks of 'freiberufliche' project work for a company or not. I would be very grateful for an explanation of what the phrases actually mean in terms of what kinds of work I'm allowed to take on OR your ideas of whom I might ask to clarify it.
Thanks!

You're allowed to work 90 full / 180 half days in a regular job but no freelance stuff.

You're not allowed to work as a self employed person. But, you are allowed to work for a company for 90 days or 180 half-days per year while you are a student.
Mariposa might be able to give a better translation...

And you can read this thread for more information about

I also have 'Selbststaendige Taetigkeit nicht gestattet' in my passport. It means, as someone has previously said, that you cannot work as a freelancer. However, I am not a student, I have a normal work permit.

Hi, it's a strange one, because with that kindof permit indeed you can work, even full-time, but at the University...What I'm wondering is, whether you can work both full time at Uni + freelance for extra money...Let us know if you find out!
