I miss black American women

Germany needs more of them!

Everytime I go out iin public and see the Germans rape and pillage each other rather than be nice, I can't help but think that Germany needs more black women. It's so sad the way people treat their fellow countrymen (and everyone else) here. It's every man (usually woman) for themselves here. Aldi opens a new checkout and 20 grocery cart-wielding Fraus try to pummel each other to be first in line. Two people are walking down the street, rather than each move aside a little, they just both plow ahead to knock the wind out of the weaker. And don't get me started with the women with baby carriages (prams). They thrust those things about like their an M1 Abrahms tank -- full speed ahead, fuck anyone in the way! And to make it worse, they will just sacrifice their newborn by tossing the cart out in front of any walkin, cycling, and driving person. And of course, it's not for the safety of the child, but to be first in some line.

It gets old, but more than anything else, it's just really sad!

I was trying to figure out why people think they can act that way and it's ok. What's different about the USA (where people are generally polite) and Germany (where they rarely are - in public at least). The one thing I thought of was Black Women. Germany needs more of them.

In the USA, this total disregard for the respect of others would end on the first encounter with most black women. They don't put up with it. That's why I think Germany needs more of them. One big bitch-slap across the face of every rude german woman -- every snotty cashier, militant stroller-wielding mother, and all the barbaric shoppers. It wouldn't take long to knock some simple human courtesy into this country.

Where's big momma when you need her?

You should've told Germany that in the slavery times. Damnit we should have imported more of them! unsure.gif

WTF? Maybe it's because of where I'm from, but WTF?

Nah, most black people I know are still a little irritated about that whole thing. Best to start off with a clean slate.
Lexicon
@DDBug,

you're from Wyoming right? The census figures show you guys only have 3000 African Americans in the entire state (0.8% of population). Do you mean WTF because you've not been around that many?
DDBug
I mean WTF because any woman can bitch slap an asshole - and you sound like you deserve it. And we cowgirls can dish it out as well.

So we should swop rudeness for violence? Great idea dry.gif

apart from all the racial stereotyping, this jumped out at me...

and I thought...shouldn't that be a Tiger II Tank (Königstiger)?
Lexicon
Hey there may be a bit of racial stereotyping in my statement, but I'm proud of America's black women for that stereotype. It's been hard-earned. It takes a lot of character to be born with the odds stacked against you (statistically) and to still demand respect in public.

I think America is a better place because people don't walk all over each other every chance they get. I don't know if this is just a cultural thing or not, but I can't help but thing that one reason people here tend to be so rude is because there is no consequence to there actions.

One bitchslap...all that's needed.

So do I ...
Amber127
HA!!! Ummm...you don't want the attitude of a black woman. I will take a rude German anyday. My city currently is about 70% black...I rather deal with someone rude then in my face and trying to beat my ass for looking at them the wrong way. Then again, some black people are cool as hell and very friendly. That Southern Charm thing that we southerners have.

I don't know, I come from New Orleans, it doesn't get much blacker outside of Africa, and NOLA is a hell of a lot more friendly than Germany. Everyone shows each other plenty of respect, they're friendly, and they won't kill you over first dibs at the strawberry's at Aldi.

yeah really friendly place:

QUOTE
New Orleans has a high violent crime rate. Its homicide rate has consistently ranked in the top five of large cities in the country since the 1980s along with Detroit, Miami, Washington, DC, and Atlanta. Homicides peaked at 425 in 1994, a homicide rate of 86 per 100,000, which has not been matched by any major US city to date.[28] The homicide rate rose and fell year to year throughout the late 1990s, but the overall trend from 1994 to 1999 was a steady reduction in homicides.

I like it too, but moving on to be with my man.
I will miss the gunshots at night, the people saying " have a blessed day", Oh and the woman randomly telling me "Jesus loves you" as I am sitting on my steps smoking a cigarette...
But I think I will enjoy not having to say "Fine thank you" to every person who walks by me saying "How are you doing" Oh and the random smiling at people as they walk by, or the people who tell me to smile it isnt that bad (I was walking to the hospital's ER, and yes it was that bad...ugh I was in some pain) Or the jackass by the river tell me to smile too...sometimes I don't want to...anyways...

I find most parts of Germany to be safer than Boston, I guess since you are from the South where the pace of life is slower and laid back, you would not like Germany.
Lexicon
I love Germany, and I've lived in Boston as well as many other parts of the US and several other countries. And the pace of life in the South is no slower than any other place. People are friendlier, that is true, but life overall is pretty much the same everywhere. People wake, they go to work, they come home, they go to sleep.

But, I must say that Germany is the one place where people (and I am no misogynist, but it seems to be by and far mainly native women) are just simply rude and inconsiderate to people. There's no reason for it, and to me it really goes against the nature of German culture in general. There's just no reason for it.

I'm a pretty laid back person, but even I said to a friend today "If I knew I was getting kicked out of Germany tomorrow, I think I'd just spend the entire day punching every German on the street that deserved it." That sounds rough, but it can just get so annoying to have to deal with an entire street worth of people pushing, lunging, cutting eachother off, and doung anything and everything to get whatever they can first, fastest, and at any cost.

Hmm never mind that is starting to sound like people here!!! Ever try driving on interstate 95!!! Man I get cut off daily...all the way in the left lane then they cut over to get off at the next exit, and all that cutting my ass of was for what??? Though with the cutting in line trying to be first doesn't happen, I just get use to hearing people bitch about the time, taking to long...time to leave work!!!

I'm not sure what to make of this thread, but I'll add my 2 cents -- I find Munich (maybe all of germany? I don't know -- haven't seen much of it) very white bread. The one thing I really loved about Toronto was people of all differents races, colours, cultures all mixed up in a kaleidoscope of colour and culture. Munich is not so interesting in that respect. It has other things going for it, but not that.

That is the attitude I will not miss here...whew never look at a black woman the wrong way, even by accident...even if you weren't looking at her!!!

I have seen a whole argument where some girls stop driving their car pulled over and started yelling at this guy with another girl, apparently he got busted because he was supposedly living with one of their friends...I didn't leave my apt for an hour after that happen. sad.gif

Lexicon, I know exactly what you mean about Germans' behaviour to each other in public. I've lived here over 30 years and I still can't accept it as normal. Just this morning, after a typical minor incident, I was pondering the question of why it's not possible for two people to pass by each other in a public place without colliding. Compare what happens anywhere else to what happens here.

Anywhere else: You see someone coming toward you, so you move a little to one side. The other person notices this, and moves a little to the other side, so you pass by each other instead of colliding. Couldn't be simpler.

Here: You see someone coming toward you, so you move a little to one side. The other person notices this, and moves to the same side as you. So you move a little further aside, and the other person again moves further to the same side, ensuring that you both remain on a collision course. In desperation, you try to move back in the other direction, but your opponent is now locked onto his target and mirrors your every move until, inevitably, you slam into each other, curse, glare at each other, and then continue on your way.

I've thought of two possible theories.

Theory 1 - The Territorial Conflict: In this theory, when you move a little aside, your adversary interprets it as a sign of weakness. He sees that you are giving ground, and smells victory. Immediately he is in for the kill, trying to drive you further and further off your patch so he can claim the whole sidewalk or passageway as his.

Theory 2 - "Follow my leader": According to this theory, the behaviour is explained by a character trait very often encountered here: that of shutting down the brain and following blindly what the others are doing. The sheep mentality. When you move to one side, the other person automatically thinks that moving to that side is the thing to do, and follows suit. Whichever direction you move, they will move in the same direction because they lack the ability to do something different from the person in front of them, or to think about the consequences of where they are heading.

Oh, yes, and the practice of using pushchairs as battering rams, and the toddlers in them as human shields, is horrifying.

The inability of Germans to stand in line seems to contradict their otherwise polite and orderly nature. A German friend explained that the current Grandmothers are the ones that set the tone for the pushiness in German. Right after the war, whoever did not push to the head of the line simply died of starvation (tough times!), natural selection and cultural adaptation have since reinforced this habit.

In Spain, where chaos usually reigns in many other matters, people are great about respecting your position in line. When a new person approachs a stall at the market the first question is : "who's last?" which then segues into a long exchange about politics, football, or celebrity gossip. In Germany you do not get this info because people are not so chatty. What you have to do is simply stare down the person that came in after you, silently conveying the message that if s/he pushes ahead of you there will be violent consequences. That person is then responsible for doing the same to the next.

This technique does not work at parking lots, and I have always been shocked at the rediness of Germans to zoom into the empty spot right in front of my nose. Any fool pulling that stunt in the US or Latin America would not live long, given that part of the population has handguns in the glove compartment and are willing to assert their manhood over any perceived slight. Given that violence is not so common here in Germany, the asi's (asocial-types) act with impunity.

Rather than simply adapting, perhaps we ex-pats have a responsibility to modify the local behaviour. We need to carry guns and strike fear of the Lord into the natives' hearts. If we write it up as a proposal, perhaps the NRA would even subsidize our crusade.
