Nonna Brooklin, Nora Langebeine and Alex Betrayiovich will be playiing gospel, blues and rock´n´roll. The concert starts around 10pm.
Last week on the boat the power went out and except for a few candles burning we all were in darkness. A silence fell. "Finger weg!" a woman said loudly. Gradually people began to talk again and we started to get accustomed to the dark and could see faces, and the shapes of people passing, and one woman going about trying to startle the men. "Now's your chance," someone said.
Much later when the lights came on, it was blinding, and most people seemed a little irritated by it.

3 words spring to mind when attending this abhorrant boat party thing - tin, sardines and tacky. If you turn up late you have to wade though dozens on dozens of young pissed up tossers to get to the bar for a drink. if this supposed to be a better option from CL, having duplicated ideas from other english speaking clubs in Berlin, he/ they can keep it!!..
That's pretty nasty Berlinender. I never thought i'd be defending the boat party but i think it's a good way to meet interesting people and it's not a piss-up from what i've seen. So any new people should not be discouraged by these remarks.
Well, I never thought Id see a response, but fair play fella for that, even if it is 4 days after I posted. Just as your entitled to your opinions, I am entitled to mine. I have been here in Berlin for a while now and many people have agreed with me -tell me, why is it you feel you would never be 'defending the boat party' if you didnt have doubts about it yourself...???

Last week was a good night for speaking in French, Italian and Spanish as well as German. I remember next to me a Mexican girl speaking in Russian to a guy from Moscow, and everyone asking, Why does she know Russian? (The unspoken sentiment being: Spy.) The French were over in a corner by then; one could hear them. Some Italians, a few couples, Phd students and about twenty people I didn't speak to rounded out the party.

Last week was a good night for speaking in French, Italian and Spanish as well as German. I remember next to me a Mexican girl speaking in Russian to a guy from Moscow, and everyone asking, Why does she know Russian? (The unspoken sentiment being: Spy.) The French were over in a corner by then; one could hear them. Some Italians, a few couples, Phd students and about twenty people I didn't speak to rounded out the party.

Just before the bridge turn right onto Mühlenstr., and the Eastern Comfort entrance is about 100 meters down the street (Mühlenstr. 73) near the beginning of the Eastside Gallery.
