The Language Party is this Wednesday (March 7th) on the ship Eastern Comfort. The party is a place to meet people from all over the world living in Berlin, find language tandem partners, exercise your various languages and enjoy the international atmosphere. Come early to have some homemade hummus. English language book exchange, too. The party starts 7pm. Entry is one Euro.

Boat Party with Salsa-ruida
The Boat Party is each Wednesday on the ship Eastern Comfort. The party is a place to meet people from all over the world living in Berlin, find language tandem partners, exercise your various languages and enjoy the international atmosphere. Come early to have some homemade hummus. English language book exchange, too. The party starts 7pm. Entry is one Euro.
This week (March 14) a salsa-ruida lesson will be offered, beginning at 10pm. An experienced salsa teacher, Thorsten, will teach the basics of salsa, where people begin in a circle and go from there. Cost for the lesson is one Euro.

Last week there was a full lounge (80+ on the guest list) and a good opportunity to talk with native speakers of Russian, Spanish, Hindi, Dutch, Chinese, Swedish, Hebrew as well as the usual suspects, and there was dancing.
This week the party includes a concert from the Russian/ Welsh duo (guitar & violin) called Future Free. They're taking part in the Troubadour Contest March 29th (see http://troubadour.de.com) and have flyers that will get you into the Schlot for one Euro cheaper. They hope you will fall in love with their sound, as many have, and come along to vote for them. The concert this week is at 10pm.

The Boat Party is this Wednesday (Dec. 12th) on the ship Eastern Comfort. This is the weekly party known in Berlin for its private party atmosphere where you can meet and talk with people in a variety of languages. As your host, I help with introductions and arranging language Tandem partners. The party starts 7pm. Entry is one Euro. (A hat will be passed to collect donations for the musicians.)
This week a French teacher, Pierre Gaüzère, will be present for those interested in speaking with him. Also, around 10pm there's a concert from Robert Lee of "The Frees" with an open invitation for musicians to bring their instruments and form a jam session.
