Any information regarding the conversion of an Indian driver's license to to German?
Thanks.

AFIK, Indian license cannot be converted to German license. You will have to get one freshly. Use the search option above to find related topics.

You can convert your Indian driving license. But you need to take the test (both theory and practical) and some minimum driving classes. But a lot less compared to taking a fresh license (and less expensive).

And you'll have to do the biggest time wasting thing evar...6.5 hours of first aid course.

Hi all,
I saw a couple of discussions on getting german driving license in the forum. But my case is a little different. I had been in Germany for about 1.6yrs, on a work permit with an IT company. Recently from september 07, i quit my old company and joined a German Company. Which means i got a new work permit altogether. Now do i fall in the first 6 months(as with my new work permit) or will my old work permit period also counts for my total stay in germany. Am just wondering if i will fall in the first 6 months(as per my new work permit), i can convert my indian international license to the german license. Can anyone please help me how does this work.
Thanks.
