Let me know if some kinda meetup is organized, cause I am new and would like to meet some more peeps too. I only made it to one meetup, and been busy with work and other crap since, so I would like to get back out again... maybe a biergarten meetup for drinks on Sunday or smthng? The weather should still be great...

Its all so simple everyone.
1. Find the Arc.*
2. Go to the Arc.
3. Get pissed at the Arc.
4. Repeat afore mentioned steps when needed.

Good Luck!

* You should have two things with you also if you are new to germany.

1. Write your Ubahn or tram number on your hand to remind which one you need to get home.
2. Write the folowing on a piece of paper and place in your wallet or purse: If found dead call this number ( I recommend one side in German and the other in English).

What happened to 'If found sober, add more beer' ? huh.gif

Well tomorrow is the Friday beergarden. A regular stream of newcomers turn up each time and not everyone knows everyone else. What better way to drift in?

Hi there,
I landed in Germany a couple of days ago from th US, and will be in Erlangen for a month. Planning to come to Munich on the 5th and was wondering if there were any 'meetups'. I dont speak German and it would be nice to meet people speaking English.

Hey everyone!

There ist the GAJC (German American Junior Club) and we're meeting once a month at a Stammtisch. There are many Germans (like me, but I'm the youngest) but also a few Americans and we have English-speaking Stammtische, too. So if anyone's interested- feel free to join us, it's pretty fun. The website is Visit My Website

All the best,
Hanna

Captain Ridiculous!
I'm not a wacko! I have a certificate signed by a doctor to prove it!
I am perfectly alright these days and mixing with normal people now.

does anyone go to this "english stammtisch" at Rechthalerhof on friday? 20.00p.m?
madgibson
Wouldn't really recommend it to be honest...seeing as you are only 24! Why don't you come along to Friday night beergarden drinks...it's a mixed age group and we all speak English (of a sort). Actually a lot of GEA/ex-GEA members also come along to Friday drinks so you can kill two birds with one stone. In my day there was only GEA for expats etc and the GEA still do really good hikes, ski trips, meals, parties etc and other special events but the Stammtisch is a bit staid if you ask me. You can check out their programme online.

They do organise good events and sporting activities. Friday nights you can find out what is going on and meet the event organisers.
Shahara
