Hello Dear TTrs,

I am calling on you to sweat for a GREAT cause.

The organization Commit is putting their best foot forward to host our very first RUN FOR AFRICA. The funds raised will go to worthy projects in Africa and India. You can find more details on the website.

On April 25th you will be able to register online. Please register as soon as possible so we can gauge how many runners will attend. Remember you can always sponsor someone to run in your place and just join the picnic and activities afterwards.

If you should have any problems with registration please PM me.

Can you please send this link to all your friends? http://commit2partnership.ragecage.de/site/index.php?id=121

Thank you and hope to see you there

Blimeygirl, according to the thread title it's 5km, and according to the post, you register on the website...
Blimeygirl
Yeah didn't read the thread title in full.
Cheers.
Fruity
Just signed up. Anybody else running this? Was informed they will be serving beer after the race. Perhaps I will skip the 5K and straight for the 1L. wink.gif

Morning Fruity,

I have two girlfriends running this with me. Send me an email and we can all meet up.

Thank you Fruity and Mandy for signing up. But we are still only half way to our goal number of runners. This is our first year throwing this event and can use the TTers help. You guys have a broad reach in Munich. Any help forwarding the link to friends, family, coworkers would be much appreciated.

Remember if you do not want to run yourself, you can always sponsor someone else. Also you are welcome just to stop by to spectate and enjoy a catered picnic. smile.gif

Hello All,

FYI. Today is the last day to register online. But you are always welcome to come down and register the day of the race. Also if you want to only eat and drink please feel free to come and support.

Thanks for all your help getting the word around

I signed up a few days ago with a colleague of mine, will see if a couple of others are interested.

See you there.

I really have to say that this turned out to be a really fun race! It was a very pleasant, even run in the English Garden. The atmosphere was great and everyone seemed to be having fun. I also thought it was nice that almost everyone ran in the t-shirts we got. Am really bad at guessing the amount of people running, but, sadly, it might have been the smallest race I've ever been in.

I do hope that they do it again and get more people to participate. The fact that it's for a good cause should be enough, but that there was great (friendly) organization, a t-shirt, lunch, and drummers (!!) made the event even nicer.
