Anyone interested in watching Spider Man 3? I suggested to watch it on 1st May...but not sure if it would be expensive since 1st of May is a public holiday...
cheers, TimTim

I don't believe that the cinema raises their prices for any holiday. The only thing to worry about is the theater being crowded and getting your tickets reserved in time. I could go for either of the two times 19:15 or 22:15 (or both)

Which cinema are you going to? - the Cinema in Nymphenburgerstr. is normally €5 on Mon. & Tues. evenings but as Tues. is a public holiday I reckon it will be full price(ca. €8). Actually, just checked the website - nice price of €5,90 for morning showing at 11.00 - otherwise it's presumably full price.

Oops. It's been a while since I darkened the door at Cinema Muenchen. Didn't know about the 'discounted' 'non-holiday' Monday / Tuesday. But it is just that- discounted. I wouldn't have called their normal adult price of 8 euros 'expensive' or 'raised', since that's typically what I have paid every time I have ever gone there.
The way Tim put it made me think that they gouged you for 25 euros or something on holidays.
However, the beer is quite pricey, and that is every day.

Exactly, I didn't mean it was a "raised" price - just normal price (i.e. €8) as opposed to the usual "reduced" Mon & Tues. nights (€5). Anyhow, enjoy the film whatever the price!

Hi, all,
I just checked that the movie will also be shown on 30 April (Monday) in Cinema Munich (special preview as the official date of release in Germany is 1st of May).
So, the showing time of next Mon and Tue are as follows:-
Monday: 20:00 or 23:00
Tuesday: 19:15 or 22:15
I 'd prefer 20:00 on 30 April (Monday) or 19:15 on 1 May (Tuesday).
Think I will reserve the tickets this Friday evening the latest??

Ok, sorry to all...
I am told that I need to be in Frankfurt next week...so, I couldn't watch it the coming Monday or Tuesday.
However, it is a movie that I 'd very much love to see...I will try to arrange the other one...before it is off...''

Coincidence?
Will be at the CINEMA for the morning show (best for students on a budget ;D) on the 1st, with some friends... since I have'nt actually met anyone from the TT boards this seems like a good op.
Anyone coming for the first show then? Shall we wear tin hats for id
(ps: Sahara, it would be great to meet you - am half Indian myself and although have been in Munich only for a few months am pretty new to TT and am sure you would not feel too shy around us - all students from the uni)
Hope to see some of you then! - ck

gotta work on Monday and Tuesday (yeah, I know it's a public holiday, but not for finance people I guess)... hopefully can get out of the office and to the cinema in time to join. If not, if anyone else wants to see it and can't go this week, drop me a message... next weekend perhaps.

Just back from seeing this film. Obviously I wont put spoilers here, but I'll give me 2 cents worth of review.
Bit of advice for people, dont expect much from this film, I personally think this is the last time we will see Maguire/Dunst/Raimi involved in the franchise and the trilogy ends on a disappointing note. I cant help but feel that this film has had too much outside interference from Sony wanting more characters and more effects to boost the mershandising side of things, the same happened to the Batman series.
So we meet Sandman and Venom in this movie, as well as Goblin Jnr. For me this is one too many, both Thomas Haden Church(Sandman) and Topher Grace(Venom) play their roles well, but there just isnt enough screen time to do their characters justice. This film would have been fine with just Venom on his own and Goblin Jnr in the background(He's here to close the story arc from the previous two movies).
So, effects are awesome. The story isnt well written and some of the acting at times is just awful.
I'm hugely disappointed in this film, so unhappy with it in fact, that I need to go and see it again, just so I can pick out the bits that were good and those that werent.

Just saw this and of all the bloody things...someone give spidey a kleenex...why the friggin hell does he cry every 10 mins...bloody baby!
3 Lions is spot on, waay too many super-people, venom, sandman, goblin jr., spidey + love triangle, actually love square, past history...they just tried to fit it all in this movie...it wanted to do too much at once.

Me likes superawesome effects.
Do you think them Sony guys are looking to so a spin off of one of those characters? Totally agree with the merchandising aspect of this!

Are you doing this deliberately, by any chance? Go and read the replies to your question on the sneak preview thread - posted several hours before you asked again here - and you may achieve the enlightenment you so desperately need.

I strongly suspect it'll take more than a peek at a thread or two for this one to reach enlightenment or anything even remotely approximating it.

well in life they say never leave anything to chance , for example when I was in New york last year some of my friends knew exactly what they would play in sneak preview , if you have the right connections it is not a sneak preview anymore anyways as they say "There is nver a Thing called as Stupid question??? ..."

If you want to know exactly what are you going to watch, then go to a bloody regular movie night and not to a sneak preview. Isn't that simple?

well u r right Panama but provided u want to wait so long , the fun in watching a movie is to watch it before it actually becomes regular ...;-)

Really? I don't think I've ever heard anyone say that in my life actually. Still, since you claim to speak the same native language as Keydeck, perhaps he could help us out here...?
As a personal motto, though, it certainly explains your post history!
