German league baseball in Bonn and Cologne

Hi all,

I am an American living in Bonn and I play baseball for the Bonn Capitals.

we are always looking for more fans and yes we serve beer, hamburgers and hotdogs.

Most of the players are Germans and the level of play is surprisingly good.

There is a team in Cologne as well, the Cardinals

Are these real honest-to-goodness USA hotdogs? It would be worth taking a weekend trip to Bonn/Cologne just to have one of them! Seriously, I am contemplating a weekend off, why not Bonn/Cologne?

That is a good question. Since I started playing this season I have eaten my share - and they sure taste like it. The cheeseburgers also taste like home.

Wow...This is so great. I'm glad to hear the the Bonn Capitals are still around. My Dad used to coach that team about 7(?) years ago when he was with Ford!
