Is weed killer banned in Berlin?

I am trying to buy some weed killer to kill off some weeds on my patio. Is the use of weed killer illegal in Berlin? Is so, can anyone suggest some successful tried and tested alternatives.

No they are not illegal, you can get them in any DIY or Garden center. But if you know someone with a blow torch you can just burn them away, it would be better for the enviornment.

You should see my garden. The "torch" method would need a squadron of B52's dropping napalm for a week.

Roundup is sold here, but you have to ask for it in the garden center. It is locked up like expensive perfumes at a drug store.

But aren't dandelions lovely little flowers?

I have the same problem but I gave up on it. As long as I have room to sit outside and drink a beer I'm happy.

actually posession is relatively legal here, although i do wish berlin would hook up the am-dam coffee shops, im tired of goin to treptower park for it.

I just saw this, maybe you can try it:

V is for ... vodka

For a quick and easy weedkiller, mix 30ml vodka, a few drops of washing-up liquid and 400ml water in a spray bottle. Apply at midday on a sunny day to weeds growing in direct sunlight because alcohol breaks down the waxy cuticle covering on leaves, leaving them susceptible to dehydration. It won't work in shady spots.

1 gallon white vinegar
1 cup table salt
1 Tablespoon washing up liquid

Mix together and ensure salt is dissolved well. This is a non selective weed killer so make sure you don't get it on any palnts you want to keep. Best to spray or paint on the weeds in hot weather

Going to try this tonight.

Hot salty water will also kill the weeds. Whenever I cook pasta, I pour the water I cooked it in on the cracks in the patio. It works perfectly.
