This is possibly a silly question if the answer is a simple yes, but is the arm of a pair of glasses called the same thing in German? Ie, der Arm?
crusoe
Bügel, I believe.
Lifeisabuffet
Bügel is the right word.

That's it. Amazing what you forget (and is difficult to look up) in just a few months. Thank you!

Funny, because I was thinking they'd call it a Kleinbandlinkenzwischenuhrundlinsetechniksteckvorrichtungverbingdungsstück.

Are you sure Bügel is correct? Only it just seems a bit, well... short. unsure.gif

Sin, Brillenbügel is more precise, and i know how much you like to be precise. smile.gif

And of course you can differentiate between a Metallbrillenbügel and a Plastikbrillenbügel. There might even be a Präzisionsedelstahlbrillenbügel.

Oh I do hope so. When my reading length surpasses the length of my arm (not long now), I'm having a pair of those.

In case you need it the bit above your nose is a Steg.
Sin
I will refuse to have anything called Steg. The likes of one's good self demand a Präzisionsedelstahlbrillensteg.
